Daily Look: Bright White

Dress: Eliza J (via Nordstrom) // Shoes: Guess (borrowed from my mom) // Earrings: Express (Sam's) // Bracelet: H&M (Sam's)

I wore this bright white shift dress to set off my nails, which I painted in pastel colors to look like Easter eggs earlier this week. It's the first time I've worn it since my wedding, when I changed into it after my long lace dress became way too hot to keep dancing in (best decision ever). It was really fun to wear it again, and I hope to get a lot more use out of it. I've also re-worn my wedding shoes, earrings, and bracelet. Sadly, the veil has not come in quite as handy.

Have any of you re-worn any of your bridal dresses or accessories? What about a bridesmaid dress?

Daily Look: And Red All Over (Again)

Shirt: Banana Republic // Jeans: Gap // Shoes: Aldo // Earrings: Nordstrom Rack // Bracelet: Banana Republic Factory // Ring: Vintage

Hooray, a short week! It was a touch cool yesterday morning, so I was unable to wear the pastel skirt I had set out for the last work day before Easter break, but I'm not complaining. The weather felt great, and not wearing jeans on jeans day was kind of a wild whim anyways.  I only considered such a thing because I so love to dress up for holidays.

Since I had a last minute change of plans, I went for my old standby--colorful jeans and stripes. I'll admit, I wear this outfit a lot; it is just so easy and, well, I just like it!

Do you have outfits that you are continually drawn to?

Daily Look: Spring Gingham

Shirt, Shoes: J. Crew // Jeans: Gap // Earrings: Loft // Necklace: Ann Taylor // Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

I wore this outfit over the weekend to go shopping with Sam. While we had big plans to score some deals, we both came up short, and neither one of us ended up buying anything. My mom was the only one who got anything, scoring a cute pair of flat sandals from Loft. Oh, and did I mention that she wasn't even there? Yep, sometimes we are personal shoppers in addition to daughters.

Have you gotten anything new for spring or summer? Any good deals?

Roundup: Summer Wedges

Summer Wedges

As a person who does a lot of walking on the job, I love wedges. They give me the height boost I want, without making me curse myself by the end of the day. Now that it's warming up, I have been on the lookout for a new pair of wedge sandals. Lauren picked up a super cute pair at Target yesterday, but sadly none of the ones that I tried on quite fit. Luckily, the internet is here to save the day. Now I just have to narrow it down! I'm thinking the pair from Asos might be just the thing.

Are you ready to switch out your boots for sandals?

Daily Look: Blue It

Blouse: J. Crew // Pants, Necklace, Bracelets: Ann Taylor // Shoes: Nine West // Earrings: Francesca's // Sunglasses: Ray-Ban // Lips: MAC Girl About Town

As Sam has mentioned before, we both have a hard time finding pants that are both cute and work-appropriate. I don't know why, but I end up trying on zillions of pairs only to leave the store empty-handed, head hung low in pantsless shame. One pair gives me saddlebags, another flattens my butt into a pancake (please tell me I'm not the only one). But in these printed babies I've finally found a pair of work pants that I'll actually enjoy wearing. They fit the way they're supposed to and have a fun (but not too crazy) pattern to boot.

Do you tend to reach for pants or a skirt?

Daily Look: Trip to the Hill Country

Sweater: Loft // Shirt: J. Crew // Jeans: Gap // Boots: Aldo // Earrings: Francesca's // Ring: Asos

We got a little reminder of winter this weekend, with a cold front that gave us one (hopefully) last chance to break out the sweaters and boots. I wore this outfit yesterday for lunch in the hill country, and egg dyeing in the evening. I was glad that I chose these booties because they are so comfortable, and make me feel kind of cool whenever I wear them. Now it's about time to put them on the high shelf and break out the sandals.

Roundup: Casual Sandals $50 and Under

Even though it still feels like winter in much of the US, spring is officially here. If you're anything like me, that means you have begun looking for cute, affordable warm-weather clothes. I've had my eyes peeled for sundresses, breezy skirts, flowy tops, and flattering shorts. But of course, spring and summer clothes aren't enough--you also need something equally adorable to wear on your feet! With that in mind, I've pulled together some of the cutest casual sandals that the internet has to offer in a rainbow of fun colors.

Sandal Season

These sandals are all $50 or less, so you don't have to feel too guilty about scooping up a pair (or two--I won't tell).

Which is your favorite pair (I can't decide!)? Will you be buying new sandals (or another spring/summer staple) this season?
