Shirt: Missoni for Target // Skirt: Ann Taylor // Boots, Earrings: Banana Republic // Blazer: H&M // Watch: Seiko // Lips: MAC Rebel // Nails: Essie Tweed
Okay, so this isn't technically a suit, but I still felt like a regular Barney Stinson when I slipped this blazer on over this not-exactly-matching-but-close tweed pencil skirt. I have to hand it to Neil Patrick Harris's philandering alter-ego: sometimes an office-ready, buttoned-up look just feels right.
Do you ever wear suits (or suit hybrids)?

I may not give a hoot about football, but I care very deeply about snack foods, so the Super Bowl is my jam! Jared is a Broncos fan which, I suppose, means that I will be rooting for them this year. At least as much as a person who is not watching the game can be considered to be lending their support. Anyways, in honor of this holiest of appetizer-eating days, I thought I'd put together an outfit for the big game. The best part is, you might have some of these items in your closet already, so you don't have to buy anything special to fit in at a party.
Do you watch the Super Bowl? Who are you supporting?

Sweater: Banana Republic via Goodwill // Pants: Loft // Shoes: J. Crew Factory // Earrings: Target // Bracelets: Forever 21, Gift // Rings: Madewell, Gift // Nails: Zoya Ivanka
I was inspired by Audrey Hepburn when I picked out this outfit on Tuesday. I, like so many others, just love the way she wore a sweater with slim cropped pants and ballet flats. It's such a great comfortable (yet still put-together) outfit. It's the perfect way to take advantage of a day when it was warm enough to go without socks and tights (which is definitely not the case today) but not exactly balmy.
What celebrities inspire your wardrobe?

Jacket & shirt: Loft // Jeans: Madewell // Shoes: J. Crew // Belt: H&M // Jewelry: Borrowed
When I was putting together this outfit, I thought it would be fun to mix the military styling of the jacket with the glitz of sequins. Since there were a lot of details going on in both pieces, I made sure to stay within the same color palette to (hopefully) keep it from getting too wacky. I finished it off with a belt and jewelry borrowed from Lauren's closet that I wish were all mine. I have been coveting those earrings forever and I love the belt so much that I'm currently on the lookout for something similar to call my own.

Shirt, Sweatshirt: J. Crew // Jeans: Forever 21 // Boots: Matisse via Piperlime // Rings: Madewell, Gift // Earrings: Banana Republic // Nails: Zoya Ivanka // Sunglasses: Target // Lips: MAC Cremesheen Peach Blossom
My husband got me this metallic-printed sweatshirt for Christmas this year, and I've already worn it several times. I really like the fancified (which is totally a word, so don't waste your time looking it up) sweatshirt trend because, let's face it: Sweatshirts are just really darn comfy. I wore this outfit out to dinner on my birthday with Sam, her boyfriend, my husband, and our friend (who gave me that cute chevron ring). Between my free Starbucks pastry for breakfast, barbecue for lunch, frozen custard for a snack, and beef Wellington for dinner, it was a wonderful, calorie-filled birthday.
How did you spend your weekend?

Yay! It's our birthday! And in honor of this most important of days, I thought I'd take a moment to celebrate the fashion risks we have been taking all our lives. We were definitely on the forefront of diaper turbans and minimalist fashion. Only kidding, but I do want to give a shout out to my other half. Without you Lauren, my loud and dramatic Celine Dion interpretations would be uninspired, my eyelashes would be uncurled, my phone minutes would be unused, and my birthday would only be half as good. I love you!
Today we are meeting up in Waco to watch a Baylor Basketball game and eat at our favorite spots with our friends and family. I plan to be uncomfortably full from dawn until dusk! Hope you are having a happy weekend too!

Sweater: Banana Republic // Skirt: Odille via Anthropologie // Boots: Via Spiga // Tights: H&M // Earrings: Loft // Rings: Madewell // Nails: Zoya Ivanka
I bought this white linen skirt to wear during the summer, but I really hate to let something languish in my closet unnecessarily, so I decided to pair it with a cozy turtleneck and thick tights to give it a more wintry feel. Even in Texas, tights are my jam. Cold feet are the worst. Obviously, I realize that some seasonal pieces just can't be repurposed--you're not going to see me trying to break out these boots during the summer--but, like Alton Brown, I do love a good multitasker. (Any Good Eats fans out theret?)
How about you? What are your favorite ways to get extra mileage out of your clothes?

Shirt: J. Crew // Jeans: Madewell // Boots: Aldo // Earrings: Banana Republic // Sunglasses: Marshall's
I wore this outfit to run errands and shop with Lauren and Jared last weekend when I went to The Woodlands for a visit. The long weekend was a great excuse to make the drive down 45 to hang out and catch up. Plus I got to go shopping and pick up my birthday rewards from Sephora and (even more exciting) Godiva! Gotta love free stuff!
