Daily Look: Blustery Day
Shirt: The Limited // Skirt: Urban Outfitters // Shoes & Necklace: J. Crew // Earrings: Francesca's // Ring: Asos
Taking pictures was quite the challenge today considering the wind about bowled me over. I always seem to wear a skirt on windy days. Or else I only notice the wind when I'm in danger of becoming an unwitting flasher. One of these days I'm going to start checking the weather before getting dressed in the morning!

Daily Look: T-Shirt and Jeans
Shirt, Jeans: J. Crew // Shoes: Banana Republic // Earrings: The Limited // Rings: Madewell // Nails: Essie Where's My Chauffeur?
Sometimes it's just a throw on some jeans and a t-shirt kinda day, and Saturday was that type of a day. Luckily, the pattern on these jeans livens things up a bit. I wore this outfit to do our weekly grocery shopping with my husband and enjoy the sub-90-degree temperatures before the heat wave hit.
What does your typical weekend outfit look like?

Daily Look: Clear Eyes, Full Hearts
Sweater: Loft // Skirt: J. Crew // Shoes: Bandolino via DSW // Necklace: ModCloth // Ring: Vintage
Hooray, my eyes are almost all better! I'm still having some issues wearing contacts all day, but at least I don't look like I use Sriracha as eye drops! In other good news, on the first weekend of my self-imposed shopping hiatus I found this adorable skirt on sale. No, the hiatus didn't last for long; I guess I'm not as strong as I thought. I've been good since then though, I promise! I just figured out that if I want to avoid buying anything, I have to avoid shopping in the first place.

Daily Look: Breezy Blouse
Shirt: J. Crew // Jeans: Gap // Shoes: Banana Republic // Earrings: Target // Sungasses: via Marshall's // Rings: Madewell, Etsy // Lips: Mary Kay Firecracker
I bought this blouse at J. Crew over the weekend while Sam was in town. I browse J. Crew a lot, but I don't often pull the trigger because my idea of a reasonable price does not always coincide with theirs. I often grab something from the sale section and immediately put it back because it's still a million dollars (I mean, not literally, but it might as well be). But this time, the getting was good, and I left with 2 tops and a much-needed hat, none of which cost more than $20. My husband described this particular shirt as Bohemian, which is definitely not my usual style, but I love how soft and gauzy it is, and I have a feeling I'll be getting a lot of use out of it throughout the year (full disclosure: I've already worn it twice in the 5 days I've owned it).

Twin Styled: What to Wear to a Spring Wedding
Wedding season is upon us, and with two on my immediate horizon, I'm starting to think about what I should wear. I will probably end up in something I already own, but if I happened upon a great deal on a cute dress, I'd have a hard time saying no. To be honest, any time I find a good deal on a cute dress I snatch it up. Dresses are definitely my weakness!
This spring, I'd love to wear something bright, floral, and ideally not too warm. Wedges are also a must since this girl loves to hit the dance floor! Are you going to any weddings this spring?

Daily Look: Spring Pastels
Dress: Dorothy Perkins // Shoes: Bandolino via DSW // Bracelet: Ann Taylor // Earrings: Loft // Lips: MAC Girl About Town
This outfit is basically spring in a dress. Pastels? Check. Flowers? Check. Pockets? Check. Okay, sure, pockets don't technically have anything to do with spring, but come on, who doesn't love a dress with pockets? They're just a fun bonus.
Have you broken out the pastels yet?

Daily Look: Bright and Sunny
Blouse: Ann Taylor // Pants: J. Crew // Shoes: Chinese Laundry via Modcloth // Earrings: Banana Republic
I wore this outfit to work on Thursday, celebrating the return of the sun with bright colors and the Easter holiday with a bunny manicure. I may or may not have worn the exact same outfit the next day, when I drove to The Woodlands to cook, eat, and hang with the fam. I even got to shop at three of my favorite stores: J. Crew, Madewell, and HEB! Yes, I listed a grocery store. Plano, I really like you, but your grocery stores are just not up to snuff.

Outfit Inspiration: Emmy Rossum's Casual Style
I saw this picture of the always-adorable Emmy Rossum stylishly going about her business and immediately knew that this was an outfit ripe for the stealing. Even though I love a good mismatched look, there will always be a soft spot in my heart for an outfit that's dyed to match. I'm sorry people, but does it get any cuter than matching red shoes, purse, and sunglasses? No it does not.
While I'm not privy to the exact details of Ms. Rossum's outfit, I'm gonna go ahead and guess that it costs more than I'd be willing to pay. (I feel like it's safe to assume that someone who's on TV might be willing to fork over more for clothing than would a cheapskate teacher.) So let's go ahead and create a (presumably) cheaper version.
