Daily Look: Papaya and Pink
Shirt: Ann Taylor // Pants: Loft // Shoes: Taryn by Taryn Rose via DSW // Bracelets: Forever 21 // Necklace: J. Crew // Earrings: Gift // Nails: Forever 21 Sky Blue
Papaya might be one of my least favorite fruits, but it's also one of the most beautiful. I absolutely love its red-orange color, which is also what drew me to this top (okay, and the $15 price tag). I love a top that can work on the weekend as well as during the work week, especially when it looks just as good tucked in as it does worn out over a pair of jeans. In fact, this shirt is so versatile that I went ahead and bought it in two colors in addition to picking up another one for Sam because I knew she'd like it too.
Do you prefer the color or taste of papaya? Do you ever buy the same item in multiple colors (I usually don't!)?

Daily Look: Blooming Blouse
Blouse: Loft // Skirt: Asos // Shoes: Chinese Laundry via ModCloth // Earrings: Target // Bracelet: H&M
Flowers are blooming all along the Texas highways, so I thought I'd join the club with this floral blouse. I don't know about you, but Mondays just aren't my favorite day of the week; bright colors always seem to cheer me up though. And I love being able to wear sandals and skirts again, although the chill of the air conditioner sometimes makes me long for tights!

Outfit Inspiration: Miranda Kerr in White-on-White
I saw this picture of Miranda Kerr looking chic and adorable this week and knew instantly that this was a look I would want to re-create. In the past couple of years, Miranda (yeah, we're totally on a first-name basis) has become one of my absolute favorite street style stars. She always looks incredibly put-together without ever looking like she's trying too hard.
I love this outfit in particular because it's so fresh, and I think it would be just perfect for this time of year. If you're willing to shell out for her gorgeous Lover skirt, it can be yours for a mere $595. But if you're feeling a little more frugal, I put together a far more wallet-friendly version.

Daily Look: Peach and Purple
Blouse: Gap // Cardigan: J. Crew // Shoes: Aldo // Earrings: Francesca's
This is a pretty basic jeans day look (gotta love Friday!), but I think the mixture of patterns adds an element of interest. I have admired this blouse of Lauren's for a long time, and I lucked out when she left it in San Antonio after her last visit. This was the last possible day I could wear this outfit since Lauren will probably want her blouse back for the summer, and sweater weather will soon be no more. In fact, most years it would already be long gone, but we have had some surprising cold fronts this spring. I guess I will enjoy these non-scorching days while I can!

Daily Look: Blue Crush
Shirt: J. Crew // Pants: Ann Taylor // Shoes: Nine West // Earrings: Loft // Bracelets: J. Crew, James Avery, Gift // Sunglasses: Ray-Ban // Lips: MAC Girl About Town // Nails: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear Mellow Yellow
Besides a film that is widely regarded by critics as one of the greatest of all time--I mean, I'm assuming, because I haven't actually seen it--the title of this post is an ode to two items of clothing that I've been especially drawn to lately. Chambray is a trend that isn't showing any signs of slowing down, and I think it's because it's so easy to wear. It pretty much goes with anything, so I find myself reaching for this top all the time. I'm also crushing on these patterned pants, which I want to wear every day. They're super comfortable and fun, yet they look tailored and professional.
What items of clothing have you been reaching for lately? Do you play favorites with your clothes?

Daily Look: Hello Yellow
Shirt: Banana Republic // Skirt: Target // Shoes: Nine West // Earrings: Francesca's // Necklace: Gift
Lauren and I must be on the same wavelength this week, since we picked out almost the same outfits! I definitely stood out at work in this neon yellow skirt--another sweet Target find. I love being able to get statement pieces for a bargain, especially because they don't always make it multiple seasons. I hope these bright colors do stay in style though, because color just makes me happy!
Do you shy from vibrant colors, or do they brighten up your day?

Daily Look: Black and White Stripes
Shirt, Skirt: Ann Taylor // Shoes: Nine West // Necklace: Banana Republic // Nails: Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Mellow Yellow // Sunglasses: via Marshall's
This outfit is all about effortless office style. Black and white is such a no-brainer of a color combination that it almost seems too easy. I'm all for bright colors, but sometimes you just want classic black and white. And both this top and this skirt are made from comfortable, wrinkle-free ponte, my new best friend. It's so much easier to look put-together when you don't have to worry about being rumpled! Plus, as I've mentioned before, tucking a blouse into a pencil skirt is my go-to when I want to look professional in a hurry.
What are some of your outfit go-tos?
