I love the idea of layered clothes--what's not to like about extra protection from the cold that also looks cute?--but I have a hard time finding pieces in my closet that look right together. Sometimes I try and fail, realizing that my upper body looks like it's been stuffed with marshmallows. That said, I really enjoyed the way this pairing turned out; the peek of leopard makes this outfit a lot more fun. It also gave me a chance to wear my new lace-up booties, which were an early birthday present from Sam, for the first time. I love 'em!

Thanks so much Shade'! Lately I've been spending my free time daydreaming about the pieces in my closet that I could layer.
Great layering! I always hesitate when I layer a collarless shirt under a sweater but now I'll go for it!! Leopard is my favorite- I just posted about a new pair of leopard shoes!
Warmly,
Faerl Marie
Faerl Marie--I actually didn't even realize that the shirt didn't have a collar until I had already put it on. But once I was dressed, I thought it looked fine, so I just went with it!
Great layering! Love the leopard print peeking out of your sweater.
Sandra
Your outfit is amazing! I like the pop of leopard. The skirt is perfect, too.
I seriously love everything about this outfit, including the bracelets.
Sandra and Synthetically Elegant--Thank you for the kind words. I'm having fun experimenting with layering now that I live somewhere where it's cold enough to do so!
Nice outfit! The earrings are very cute and boots are great1
also... your lipstick. i have to have it.
Sianna--Thank you!
Caroline--Get thee to a MAC counter! It's Girl About Town. Also, I've been reading Greedy Girl since I first discovered fashion blogs, so I got really excited when I saw your comment.
You are one seriously stylish gall. I am SO excited to have come across your blog - when I first saw this post my jaw dropped. That lipstick is fantastic and the animal print peeking out - perfect!
Can't wait to follow along!

Katya--Wow, thank you so much.
i have to admit, i'm typically not a fan of animal print, but gurrl, you look HOT.
Thanks Celia! Animal print is a very divisive thing...I don't think Sam would wear it.
