Daily Look: Trail Blazer

Blouse: Banana Republic Factory // Pants: Zara // Blazer: Loft // Shoes: Nine West // Sunglasses: Betsey Johnson via Marshall's // Earrings: Limited // Ring: Vintage

I'm at it again, stealing from Lauren's closet! This time I snagged her adorable blazer to finish off my outfit and keep me warm in the chill air of the air conditioning.  I have got to get a blazer. I felt so put together, and I didn't have to keep lint rolling it all day the way I do with cardigans. Better add it to my fall wish list!

Daily Look: Paisley Pop

Shirt: Ann Taylor // Skirt: J. Crew // Shoes: J. Crew Factory // Earrings, Necklace: Banana Republic // Sunglasses: via Marshall's // Bracelets: Forever 21, H&M // Lipstick: Mary Kay Really Red

Although this top is lightweight and great for summer, I especially like wearing it during fall because there's something about paisley (especially in this color scheme) that just feels so autumnal. Granted, the weather certainly didn't--it was hot and humid outside--but at least my clothes cooperated.

Do you prefer to wear certain colors and patterns during fall? What are your favorites?

Daily Look: Royal Purple

Blouse: Limited // Skirt: Anthropologie // Shoes: ModCloth // Earrings: Francesca's // Bracelet: Found

I forced Lauren to pick out my outfit for work today, and she did a great job! It's so funny how you get so used to putting certain tops with certain skirts or pants, that you never even think to try them with something else. Now I know that this is so much more than a casual jeans top. Thanks Lala!

Runway to Reality: Burberry Fall 2012

One of my favorite shows from the fall runways was Burberry Prorsum, which was full of quirky yet wearable looks. This particular outfit caught my eye because of the way it combines girly details like ruffles and bows with hard-edged studs and leather.

Like many of the looks in the Burberry show, this outfit is composed of separates, so it would be fairly simple to re-create on a real-life budget. Here's what I came up with:

Runway to Reality: Burberry

I like this look because it contains several pieces that many of us already own; it just combines them in a fresh new way. And while it's definitely not your average outfit, I think it's plenty conservative for work.

What do you think of this outfit? Will you try to re-create it for yourself?

Daily Look: Crazy Cat Lady

Shirt: Gap // Skirt: ModCloth // Shoes: BCBG via Endless // Earrings: Francesca's // Ring: Asos

Well, it's official, I am one of those people who buys things because they feature cats. In fact, I've done it enough times now that I can wear multiple cat pieces at once. Sadly (or awesomely?), this has become my go-to weekend outfit. I may be getting a few funny looks behind my back, but I'm pretty sure some little old ladies are impressed. I do promise to avoid puff paint and purses made from actual pet fur. Everything else is up for grabs.

P.S. Have you seen these amazing boots? This guy has the right idea!

Daily Look: Pink & Chambray

Dress: J. Crew // Shirt: Bitten by SJP (consignment) // Shoes: Bandolino via DSW // Bracelet: Ann Taylor // Lips: MAC Girl About Town

As the warm and sunny days of summer wind down, I decided to give this hot pink dress one last hurrah. To help it transition into fall, I tied a chambray shirt around it. It's basically the sartorial equivalent of a cardigan, but a little more fun and different (not that I don't love a good cardigan). And while it's officially autumn now, I have a feeling it's still going to be awhile before it's truly sweater weather.

Does it feel like fall where you live? How do you transition your summer pieces?

Daily Look: Pale Green

Blouse: Loft // Skirt: J. Crew // Shoes: Kimchi Blue via Urban Outfitters // Necklace & Bracelets: Gift // Earrings: Banana Republic

This is a look that I wore to dinner Friday night with friends and family. The elastic waist was perfect for accommodating millions of chips, which is really the only thing that I require of an outfit when I'm going to eat Mexican food. As an added bonus, the lining of my skirt matched the top perfectly, almost making them look like they were made to be together. I love it when things like that happen!

Have a happy weekend!
