Twin Styled: New Year's Eve
I'm sure I'm not the only one who plans to spend the weekend thinking about what to wear on New Year's Eve. Last year, I created a look around a sparkly dress. This year, I decided to challenge myself to create an outfit for people who'd rather wear pants (and, not surprisingly, it still involves sequins).

Daily Look: In the Trenches
Trench: Anthropologie // Pants: Gap // Shoes: Bandolino via DSW // Ring: Asos // Earrings: Francesca's
When I opened up the box to see this trench on Christmas, I squealed with joy! I have pined over trench coats for so long, but they are so classic that they never seem to go on sale. Luckily Lauren is a shopping queen, and managed to snag it for a great price. I love it so much, it makes me happy to see cold weather in the forecast!
Did you get any big surprises under the tree this year?

Daily Look: Holiday Travelling
Shirt: J. Crew // Pants: Forever 21 // Bracelets: Loft // Booties: Asos // Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
I wore this outfit to travel from San Antonio to see my in-laws in Dallas. I wanted to wear something comfortable, of course, but I also wanted to look relatively cute to see my husband's family, whom I haven't spent time with in quite awhile. This shirt, a Christmas present from my mom, was so soft and comfy that I think it might become my new go-to.
How do you dress to travel? What are your favorite cute and comfortable clothes?

Daily Look: Christmas Spoils
Blazer: H&M // Sweater: Loft // Jeans: Express // Boots: Sam Edelman via Nordstrom Rack // Earrings: Francesca's
I got this awesome new blazer for Christmas, so I had to take it for a test run! It is warm, soft, and paired with my boots, makes me feel ready for a ride. Ok, maybe just a trip to the mall! We have a few returns to make, but overall we all made out like banshees (as we say in our family).
It was a great Christmas, beginning with presents, and ending with a Michael Jackson dance off! I hope everyone out there had a fun, safe holiday.

Outfit Inspiration: Amanda Seyfried's Casual Style
Christmas is just around the corner, and it's time for me to buckle down and finish up all those last-minute tasks that inevitably pile up. I'll be spending this weekend running errands, baking cookies, wrapping presents, and (if there's still time) relaxing with my family. I saw this picture of Amanda Seyfried walking her dog and immediately thought that this outfit would be perfect inspiration for this busy weekend.
She looks adorable, but she also looks incredibly comfortable, and I love how the leather jacket ties everything together. I decided to re-create this outfit in a more budget-friendly way for the non-movie-stars among us. Each piece in my version is under $100 (sorry, dogs not included).

Daily Look: Red and Green
Shirt: Old Navy // Pants: J. Crew // Boots: Sam Edelman via Nordstrom Rack // Earrings: Francesca's // Belt: Aldo // Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
I am decked out in Christmas colors today, running last minute errands and fighting some blustery wind. This is basically the only time of the year that I appreciate cold weather, and this front arrived just in time to get me in the Christmas spirit. It may not be a white Christmas, but I think some cocoa and Christmas cookies might be in order!
How's the weather in your neck of the woods?

Daily Look: Happy Holidays
Sweater: Banana Republic, Necklace // Skirt: Gap // Shoes: Urban Outfitters // Bracelets: Forever 21 // Earrings: Francesca's // Tights: Loft
I wanted to wear a Christmas-colored outfit to go with my red and green manicure, so I paired my favorite sweater--in case you hadn't noticed, I wear it a lot--with golden jewelry. I decided to keep the rest of the outfit basic black to avoid going too literal. Then again, I don't own a green skirt, and if I did, I can't honestly say that I wouldn't have taken this way too far and wound up looking like an elf.
Do you wear more red and green during the holidays? Do you ever wear them together?
