I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I absolutely love pencil skirts and their ability to instantly make me feel professional and put-together. They're flattering on nearly all body types, and if you find one in the right material, they can really suck you in. This one is ponte, and I think it's my new best friend. It feels a lot like sweats, and it's nice and thick, making it warmer than most other skirts I own. Now I'm going to have to resist the urge to buy ponte everything.
Are you a fan of the pencil skirt? What's your favorite thing about them?

I love the zipper! You look very chic!
Thanks Mom! I had to strip down a mannequin to get it, but it was totally worth it.
you look good in it
I <3 pencil skirt, especially in a good wool. Flattering and professional.
Downside: you have to hike it riiiiiight the way up if you want to cycle home after work. I so classy.
Unfounddoor (which my computer just tried to autocorrect to unfounded odor)--Yep, there's definitely no cycling in this skirt, even if it is pretty stretchy. If cycling was in any way a possibility where I lived, I think I'd have to invest in a wardrobe of full skirts for work. Either that, or layer bike shorts underneath everything.
