Runway to Reality: Elie Saab Fall 2013

Even though it's still blazin' hot outside, the return to school always gets me thinking about fall clothes. And with New York Fashion Week just around the corner, it seemed like a good time to look back to some of my favorite fall looks from last fashion week. I gravitated toward this Elie Saab look because it's incredibly wearable, and, even though it definitely feels autumnal, you could get away with wearing it on a warm day without feeling miserable.

Of course, I won't be buying Elie Saab on a teacher's budget (though donations are certainly accepted), so I used it as inspiration to create a much more purse-friendly outfit.

Even though I think the original look might be a dress, you could get a similar look by tucking a black blouse into a lace pencil skirt. Throw on some strappy black pumps and you've got yourself a pretty awesome outfit. No one needs to know how easy it was.
