My husband and I met up with Sam and her boyfriend in the Texas Hill Country last weekend for a relaxing (well, besides the whole getting a flat tire thing) getaway. We stayed in the beautiful Walnut Canyon Cabins, where there were chickens, goats, a pony, donkey, and one very friendly dog named Gemma who practically moved in with us for the weekend. After spending Saturday morning hiking Enchanted Rock (and realizing how out of shape I am!), we shopped and ate our weight in schnitzel in historic Fredericksburg, one of my favorite towns in Texas. But the best part might have been feeding all the animals on Sunday morning. It was a perfect way to start the day! All in all, it was a wonderful weekend full of twin time, delicious food, and the great outdoors. I can't wait to go back!
