I've been conditioned from a young age to avoid combining black and brown like the plague. Still, I couldn't help being drawn to this stripey pleated skirt, especially when my husband pointed out that it was only $14. After trying it on and discovering that it fit perfectly, I obviously couldn't pass it up, despite my reservations. "Will I be arrested by the fashion police?" I wondered. Well, I can happily report that I received no citation for my fashion transgression. Phew.

Like you, I was conditioned to believe black and brown was a no-no. I've been trying it more and more lately, but it's a continuing battle with my conditioning! You outfit shows how it is doable and fashionable :) - Brianna
